Kaspersky researchers have uncovered a sophisticated new malware, "SteelFox", which has infected more than 11,000 Windows systems by disguising itself as legitimate software activators. Detected in August 2024, SteelFox is primarily distributed through forums, torrent trackers, and blogs as cracks or activators for popular software such as Foxit PDF Editor and AutoCAD.
